GREENVILLE – Senator Bob Deuell, MD, has been endorsed by the National Rifle Association and the Texas State Rifle Association for reelection to the Texas Senate in 2012. Deuell has been honored to have both NRA and TSRA endorse him each time he has sought reelection.
"On behalf of our members in Senate District 2, NRA's Political Victory Fund is pleased to endorse State Senator Bob Deuell for re-election,” said Tara Mica, NRA-ILA State Liaison. “As a fellow NRA member and Concealed Handgun Licensee, Senator Deuell understands first-hand the need to steadfastly defend the Second Amendment and our right to protect ourselves, our families and our property. His record of leadership on issues affecting law-abiding gun owners and sportsmen in the Texas Senate has earned him the endorsement and support of local NRA members."
Alice Tripp, TSRA Legislative Director, added, “Texas gun owners, hunters and concealed handgun licensees are all in your debt. Our 40,000 members could not have a better friend in the Texas Senate than former Doc Brown Legislator of the Year winner, Bob Deuell.”
Deuell has filed for reelection to serve Senate District Two in North Texas. He and his wife Marilyn have held CHLs since the licenses were first made available in 1996. Senator Deuell is also an avid outdoorsman, fitting in several hunting trips each season.
