HOUSTON – State Senator Dan Patrick (R) has endorsed his colleague Bob Deuell, MD for reelection to Texas Senate District 2.
"Whenever I need Senator Bob Deuell's support on important conservative legislation he is there to fight with me,” said Patrick. “When I was involved in hours of debate on the sonogram bill, he stood on the Senate floor and gave an impassioned argument for the legislation. As the only doctor in the Senate, he brings invaluable expertise to one of the biggest issues we face, healthcare. We need Senator Bob Deuell back in the Texas Senate."
Sen. Patrick and Sen. Deuell have served together in Austin since the former was first elected in 2006.
“I appreciate the confidence that Senator Patrick has in me,” said Deuell. “We have worked well together on a multitude of issues, and he is a great member of the Texas Senate. Should my neighbors decide, I look forward to both of us being back in the 83rd Legislature next year.”
Sen. Patrick is also seeking reelection this year to Senate District 7, which centers on west Houston and extends out to the boundaries of northwest Harris County. |
