				<description><![CDATA[<p>AUSTIN &ndash; The Political Action Committee for Texas physicians, TEXPAC, has endorsed Senator Deuell for reelection as part of their ongoing partnership to advocate for doctors and their patients.</p>
<p>&ldquo;TEXPAC strongly and resoundingly endorses Dr. Deuell&rsquo;s campaign to return to the Texas Senate,&rdquo; said TEXPAC Chairman Joe Todd, MD, who is a Fort Worth orthopedist.</p>
<p>TEXPAC is the political arm that supports the Texas Medical Association, or TMA.&nbsp; Representing the state&rsquo;s physicians, TMA has more than 45,000 members.</p>
<p>Senator Deuell is a boardcertified family physician.&nbsp; Before joining Primary Care Associates in Greenville, Dr. Deuell first practiced medicine at his hometown&rsquo;s federallyqualified community health clinic.</p>]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[<p>AUSTIN &ndash; Senator Bob Deuell, MD, was endorsed by the Texas State Association of Fire Fighters for the 2012 primary and general election.&nbsp; TSAFF has been firmly behind Deuell for reelection in the past.</p>
<p>"I wish we had more Senators like Senator Deuell,&rdquo; said Mike Higgins, Chief of Staff for TSAFF.&nbsp; &ldquo;He and his staff are always great to work with, and we in turn appreciate his support of fire fighters."</p>

				<description><![CDATA[<p>AUSTIN  Senator Bob Deuell, MD, was honored by the Texas Association of Business (TAB) for his work during the 82nd Legislative Session on behalf of Texas business and fiscal matters. &nbsp;He was awarded the "Fighter for Free Enterprise," given out by TAB based on criteria important to different businesses and industries across the state.</p>
<p>&ldquo;The 2011 Session was one of the most difficult in recent history,&rdquo; said TAB President and CEO Bill Hammond. &nbsp;&ldquo;Because of the budget, lawmakers, like Senator Deuell, faced a lot of hard decisions, but thankfully the majority stuck with the plan of trimming spending and holding the line on taxes. &nbsp;Because of the actions of Senator Deuell and his colleagues, Texas&rsquo; jobs climate remains one of the best in the country."</p>
<p>Senator Deuell serves on the Senate Committee on Finance where he was directly involved with budget legislation during the 2011 Session.</p>
<p>&ldquo;Our probusiness policies here in Texas have spared our state much of the pain being experienced in other parts of the country,&rdquo; said Deuell.&nbsp; &ldquo;I am committed to maintaining these policies as long as I serve in the State Senate.&rdquo;</p>
<p>The TAB serves as Texas&rsquo; Chamber of Commerce.&nbsp; It was formed in 1922 in San Antonio, and since then the TAB has worked on all manner of legislative, regulatory, and judicial matters on behalf of Texas business.</p>

				<description><![CDATA[The Texas Alliance for Life Political Action Committee has endorsed State Senator Bob Deuell for reelection in the 2012 Republican Primary.&nbsp;
 A leader in the effort to protect life in Texas, Executive Director Joe Pojman listed five criteria which determined the Alliance&rsquo;s support of Senator Deuell, which are as follows: &nbsp;&nbsp; 1.&nbsp;Requiring parental consent for abortions and treatments on minor girls; &nbsp;&nbsp; 2.&nbsp;Promoting adult stem cell research and treatments and opposing tax funding for embryonic stem cell research, which requires the destruction of human embryos; &nbsp;&nbsp; 3.&nbsp;Support for informed consent requirements for women considering abortion, including a requirement to make the sonogram image of the unborn child available; &nbsp;&nbsp; 4.&nbsp;Prenatal protection for unborn children from violent crimes of assault and homicide; and &nbsp;&nbsp; 5.&nbsp;Limits on state funding of organizations offering elective abortions.
&nbsp;
&ldquo;We accomplished a lot this past session in protecting life, including passage of our state&rsquo;s landmark sonogram bill,&rdquo; said Senator Deuell, a family physician and coauthor of the new laws informed consent provisions.&nbsp; &ldquo;I am honored that Texas Alliance for Life has decided to continue their support of me as we keep up the fight.&rdquo;

				<description><![CDATA[&nbsp;Names Texas Economy, State Budget as Priorities
 GREENVILLE &ndash; Bob Deuell, MD, has filed for reelection to the Texas Senate.&nbsp; Elected in 2002, Deuell, a family physician and conservative Republican, wants to continue his service to Texas and, most importantly, to the people who live in Senate District Two.&nbsp; Deuell was overwhelmingly reelected in 2006 and 2010.
 &ldquo;Times are tough, and I want to use my experience and expertise to solve problems and prepare Texas for the future,&rdquo; said Deuell.&nbsp; &ldquo;Much work needs to be done with our budget, and especially in the areas of education, health, transportation, water and energy.&rdquo;
 Deuell explained that while the Texas economy was doing well relative to the rest of the U.S., many are still hurting.&nbsp; &ldquo;We have a great business climate in Texas, and I&rsquo;m proud to be a part of creating that,&rdquo; Deuell said.&nbsp; &ldquo;We must continue that work so that the Texas economy can still improve and thrive.&rdquo;
 Elections will be held for all Texas Senate seats in 2012 due to the population and redistricting changes brought on by the new decade.&nbsp; Senate District Two is comprised of all of Hunt, Fannin, Delta, Hopkins, Rains, Van Zandt, Kaufman and Rockwall Counties along with some of the eastern portions of Dallas and Dallas County, including South Garland, Mesquite, Sunnyvale and Seagoville.
